Congratulations to Kevin Burrage for winning the Fish-off, and to Brian Burrage for second, and to Jack Vanderford for third.  Kevin and Brian  split the big fish pot .  It appeared the fish were biting since only 3 pounds separated 1^st from 4^th place.   

We have tentatively scheduled a meeting and a cook out on Friday, the 12^th of December,   to present the 2008 end of year awards. We will be in contact later to confirm the arrangements.

The last regular tournament of 2008 was held on High Rock and won by Scott Eggleton, second place went to Jack Vanderford, and third place to Danny Gillis.  Scott also had the big fish of the tournament. 

That locked up the Club Championship for Scott….CONGRATULATIONS SCOTT!

That leaves the Fish Off scheduled for November 1^st to finish up this year.  The 11 members who have qualified for the Fish Off are:

 There will be a drawing in Scott Eggleton’s driveway on 10-31-08 at 7 p.m. to determine where the Fish Off will be held.  If you plan to fish and are not at the drawing, contact Scott, Dave, or Jim. 

The Fish Off will be for $540 and breaks down as follows:

            1^st place - $324
            2^nd place - $135
            3^rd place - $81

There will be an optional $10 big fish pot which will be split two ways. 

            1^st big fish will get 60% of pot.
            2^nd big fish will get 40% of pot.

 YOUTH DAY is now scheduled for Oct. 18^th which has been an on again – off again   type thing, so let’s all hope it does not rain again the week before.  Please try to be there.

Sloooow day on Tuckertown.  Eight people fished and only four caught fish.

 Congratulations to Kevin Burrage for his win with 11 lbs 1 ozn and his big fish of 5 lbs 7 oz, to Scott Eggleton for second with 4 lbs 14 oz, to Jack Vanderford for third place with 4 lbs.

 Only 11 points separate first and second place for the club championship with one tournament to go.   

The fish off is now worth $505 with 1 tournament to go.  There are now 10 members already qualified to fish.  Two members, Chris File and Ken Shaw need one more tournament to qualify. 

 Our Youth Day scheduled for this Saturday, 9-27, has been CANCELLED and will be rescheduled in October.

Congratulations to Scott Eggleton for his win on High Rock with 10 lbs 4 oz, to Brian Burrage for second with 9 lbs 10 oz, to Dave Harless for third place with 9 lbs 9 oz.  Brian Burrage had the big fish weighing 4 lbs 6 oz.

The fish off is now worth $465 with 2 tournaments to go.  There are 8 members already qualified to fish.  Two members, Steve Bradshaw and Chris File need one more tournament, and two members, Jeff Shaw and Ken Shaw need 2 tournaments to qualify. 

Don’t forget our Youth Day is scheduled for Saturday, 9-27, and we can use as many members as possible to be there.  Last year we had 44 ARC clients and could not have done it without the help of the East Rowan Student Council.

Congratulations to Scott Eggleton for his first place finish on Tuckertown with 10 pounds 15 ounces.  Also to Jack Scott for second place with 8 pounds 11 ounces, and to Dave Harless for third place with 7 pounds 9 ounces.  The big money fish for the day (3 lbs 7 oz)  was caught by Scott Eggleton. 

 Our next tournament is on High Rock Lake on August 23rd from 6am – 2pm out of Riverwalk.  If the lake drops to much more we will change the blast off site. 

The Fish-off tournament is now up to $420 with 3 tournaments to go.  There are several members who can fish all the 3 remaining tournaments and be eligible for the fish-off so check the results posted on the web site.  So far 6 are eligible for the fish-off.

Youth Day is not far away (Sep 27^th) and we would like as many members as possible to participate.  It is a very rewarding day for everyone so try to be there.

Welcome to our new members Brian File, Thomas Ludwig, and Arron Trexler who were at and fished High Rock.  We had a another good turnout for our High Rock tournament with 15 members and 3 guests fishing.

 Congratulations to Thomas Ludwig (Peanut) for his first place finish with a big stringer of 20 pounds 7 ounces.  Also to Scott Eggleton for second place with 17 pounds 3 ounces, and to Jeff Shaw for third place with 14 pounds 6 ounces.  The big fish for the day (6 lbs 11 oz) was caught by Dave Harless and is also the new big fish so far this year.

 Thanks to everyone for helping out with the parking situation at the boat ramp.

Welcome to our new members Steve Bradshaw, Mark Cannon, and Carl Levingston who were at and fished Tuckertown.  We had a good turnout at Tuckertown with 16 members and 4 guests fishing.

 Congratulations to Kevin Burrage for his first place win at Tuckertown with 12 lbs.14 oz.  Also to Ken McAlister for second place finish and new member Mark Cannon for his third place.  The big fish for the day (4 lbs. 9 oz.) was by another new member Steve Bradshaw.

 Hopefully everyone who was at Tuckertown got a copy of the boat ramp rules for Riverwalk.  For those who did not or were not there the rules are posted on this website following our tournament schedule.  Please help us to abide by these rules so we do not lose this privilege.
