07-15-10 

The results from the 7-15-10 tournament on High Rock have been posted.  We had 5 members fishing and paid 2 places.  Jeff Roe finished 1^st with 2 fish that weighed 9-0lbs, and the big fish for the day of 6-10 which is also now big fish for the year.   Scott Eggleton finished 2^nd with 3 fish that weighed 6-15. 

 Each member interested in qualifying for the Fish-off should check the number of tournaments fished posted on the web page.  Following are the number of tournaments needed for the Fish-off:  Brian Burrage (3), Kevin Burrage (3), Jeff Roe (1), Lisa Roe (1), Jack Vanderford (1).  Dave Harless & Scott Eggleton both have the 6 needed.   

 Also please check your scores and let Jim (704-239-8139) know if there is a question about the scores.

 Our next tournament is at Tuckertown on 8-7-10 out of River Road from 6-2.

There has been a change for our tournament for Saturday 7/10/10. I have contacted 4 of 7 people regarding a time change for our tournament Saturday. Those 4 people decided that we will fish from 6AM - 12PM due to high temperatures that we all have been experiencing. If there are any questions about this please let me know.

The results from the 6-12-10 tournament on High Rock have been posted.  We had 6 members fishing and paid 3 places.  Jack Vanderford finished 1^st with 4 fish that weighed 9-13, and the big fish for the day of 4-1.  Scott Eggleton finished 2^nd with 5 fish that weighed 8-11, and Jeff Roe got 3^rd with 2 fish that weighed 3-8.

ATTENTION ALL:
I have had a request to shorten our tournament on 7/10/10 due to the high temperatures that we are experiencing. I looked at the long range forecast and it appears that the high temps will be returning again by the 10th. The proposed change is for 6AM - 12PM. If anyone has any other suggestions or do not want to do this, please let Scott Eggleton know what your input is. We, those who have been fishing regularly, will vote on the outcome.

The results from the 5-15-10 tournament on Tuckertown have been posted.  The summer heat has arrived and the water temperature exceeded 90+ degrees on the water.  We only had 4 members fishing and 5 in the big fish pot (one guest).  Scott Eggleton finished 1^st with 5 fish that weighed 12-8, and the big fish for the day of 3-1.  Dave Harless finished 2^nd with 2 fish that weighed 3-14, and Jack Vanderford got 3^rd with 2 fish that weighed 3-3. 

 The YTD results now reflect dropping completely each individual lowest tournament from the YTD results.  This will continue to be updated as we fish tournaments through the season.  Please check your scores and let Jim (704-639-9694) know if there is a question about the scores.

 Our next tournament is at High Rock on 6-12-10 out of Riverwalk from 6-2.

The results from the 5-1-10 tournament on High Rock have been posted.  We had 10 members fishing and 11 in the big fish pot (one guest).  Scott Eggleton finished 1^st with 5 fish that weighed 16-4, and the big fish for the day of 4-14.  Kevin Burrage finished 2^nd with 5 fish that weighed 11-0, and Tom File got 3^rd with 5 fish that weighed 8-15.

We only had 8 members fishing at our first Tuckertown tournament.  The grass and muck was there as usual.
 Congratulations to Jeff Roe for his win, to Scott Eggleton for second, and to Lisa Roe for 3^rd and her big fish.

 We still have a few members who have not fished yet, so the turn out should improve.

 Our next tournament is on May 1^st on High Rock from 6:30 to 2:30.  Blast off will be out of Riverwalk.

We only had 8 members fishing at our first tournament which was on High Rock.  It was a little chilly at blast off but the day did get better.  

Congratulations to Jack Scott for his win, to Scott Eggleton for second, and to Dave Harless for 3^rd.  Danny Gillis had big fish.

The Hills Bassmasters will hold their annual 2010 club meeting on Friday, March 6, at 6:00 p.m.

The meeting will be held at the Mullen home at 735 Riverwalk Dr. (704-639-9694)

The purpose of the meeting is to recognize the 2009 club winners, to elect officers for 2010, to review the by-laws for any changes needed, and to set the 2010 tournament schedule.
